Our Clients
An offender will be considered for Diversion if:
1. The offender is guilty of the offense (civil motor vehicle offenses excluded)
2. The offender does not have a history of charges against him or her
Both juveniles and adults are eligible for the Diversion Program. However, the ultimate decision of referral to the program lies with the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Diversion is Not for Serious Offenders
Serious offenses remain in the regular court system. And offenders who are referred to Diversion but not willing to accept the charges brought against them, remain in court as well.
