The Martial Arts / Life Skills Program meets once a week at the Triad Fitness Center in Manchester, Vermont. The primary focus of this program is for youth, ages 14 through 17 and is designed to combat certain risk factors and negative attitudes around substance abuse.

The Program's Philosophy Teaches:

  • Self-protection awareness
  • Anger management
  • Focus
  • Self-discipline
  • Self-esteem
  • Respect for self and others
  • Spiritual awareness
  • Relationship with peers

The goals attained through this program are fun and challenging. Each girl or boy is enlightened to physical awareness of the muscular system and overall chemistry of the human body.

An additional hour each week will be spent with the Street Checkers to support training and life skills activities, review and evaluate progress.
