Over 20 years ago, the Vermont State Legislature demonstrated the forward-thinking nature for which it is nationally known by creating the Vermont Court Diversion Program. Court Diversion is a coluntary, confidential alternative to the formal court process for certain juvenile and adult offenders, who are willing to accept responsibility for their unlawful actions.
