Fund Raising Goals
CRJ's Capitol Campaign
7/1/2002 to 6/30/2003 has targeted the goal of raising $150,000 to benefit
the communities of Bennington County through the following:
- Expansion of the
Street Checker Program
- Continued Funding
of the Martial Arts / Life Skills Program for Girls
- Alcohol and Substance
Abuse Prevention Program
- Educational programs
for parents to help support their role in the community
CRJ envisions programs
that will serve to create alternative education for juveniles at risk,
truant, in need of a support system, underachieving and lacking skills.
CRJ, through a mentorship program, believes that is will best be able
to suit the needs of this populations.
As part of the Alcohol
and Substance Abuse Prevention Program, CRJ forsees a comprehensive approach
to the issue of prevention. Parents, teens and young adults would work
together ion the home and in the community to foster substance abuse awareness
and methods of prevention. CRJ would also have tha bility to perform its
own drug testing.
To offer these expanded
and new programs, administrative staff, particularly qualified case workers,
need to be added along with educational materials, travel expenses and
technical equipment.
