Alcohol Education Program
held at the CRJ officeThis Saturday morning program consists of one 2-hour session facilitated by a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. This program is required for youth cited for civil under-age drinking violations. The group is also open to youth charged with criminal offenses who would benefit from substance abuse education classes. A variety of learning methods are utilized including personal sharing, film with discussion, and written self-reflection exercises. Cost $20.00.

Girls Circle
held at the CRJ officeThis group is open to girls 14-17 years of age. The group is comprised of ten (10), 1.5 hour sessions and is designed to foster self-esteem and positive relationship with peers. A variety of instructional methods are used such as role playing, journaling, poetry, clay, and so on. Themes include trusting ourselves, friendship, body image, goals, competition and decision-making. There is no fee for this program.
The Spring Program will be held Mondays and Thursdays, 3 PM – 4:30 PM at the CRJ office.

Boys Council Group
held at the CRJ officeThis group is open to boys age 14-18. The group is comprised of ten (10), 1.5 hour sessions. The program is designed to focus on boys’ natural strengths and broaden their understanding about being a male in today’s world, challenging myths about how to be a “real boy” or real man.” The Council engages boys in activities, dialogue and self expression. Themes include identifying and preventing bullying, promoting teamwork, developing empathy, resolving conflicts, healthy competition, respecting self and others, developing leadership, and healthy relationships. There is no fee for this program
The next Boys Council group will be held Mondays and Thursdays 3:00 – 4:30 at the CRJ office

SHOP (Student Hope and Opportunity Program)
SHOP is CRJ’s afterschool program. SHOP is open to any student in grades 7 – 12. Special events, guest speakers, college mentors, movie nights, homework help, and wii video game tournaments are just a sample of SHOP activities.
SHOP is open Tuesdays, 2:30 -4:30 at CRJ.
